The Role: Turning Research Into Better PolicyWorking closely with the Director and Principal Policy Officer, you will support ICOVE's Policy & Advocacy function through research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination to help inform national conversations and strengthen First Nations vocational education outcomes.
Here's What You'll Be Working On
Undertake research and analyse information to support evidence-based policy development.
Prepare policy papers, briefing notes, reports, and submissions.
Monitor emerging policy developments and identify issues relevant to First Nations VET.
Support stakeholder consultation and engagement activities across government, ACCOs, and the sector.
Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain project documentation.
Your Profile: Curious, Analytical and Purpose-Driven
Demonstrated experience in policy, research, analysis, or a related field.
Strong written communication skills, including preparing reports, briefing papers, or submissions.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Law, or equivalent experience.
Experience working within government, ACCOs, education, research, or the VET sector is highly regarded.
