Job Role: Employment Consultant – Drug and AlcoholLocation: Hamilton, Newcastle NSW (Excellent public transport links, close to train station)Salary: $71,867 per annum plus salary packaging and superannuation for candidates without industry experienceUp to $75,000 per annum plus salary packaging and superannuation for candidates with Employment Services experienceOverall package value up to approximately $95,000 depending on experience and benefitsContract: Permanent, Full-TimeRole Overview:We are recruiting motivated and customer-focused employment consultant to join a growing team delivering the Workforce Australia (WFA) programme in Hamilton, Newcastle.As an Employment Consultant, you will support participants with disabilities, injuries, health conditions and other barriers to employment, helping them move towards sustainable and meaningful careers.
Through personalised coaching, tailored action planning and strong employer engagement, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve long-term employment success.This role is ideal for candidates from Employment Services, Recruitment, Community Services, Disability Services, Health & Wellbeing, Customer Service, Sales or Case Management backgrounds who are passionate about changing lives through employment.Key Responsibilities:Participant Engagement & Case ManagementManage a caseload of approximately ******* participantsConduct individual appointments to understand aspirations, skills and barriersDevelop personalised employment plans and progression pathwaysSupport participants to prepare for, secure and maintain employmentDeliver ongoing coaching,



motivation and practical employability supportEnsure participants meet programme requirements and remain actively engagedEmployment Support & Job OutcomesSupport participants with:CV developmentJob applicationsInterview preparationJob search activityConfidence buildingIn-work supportIdentify and address vocational and non-vocational barriers to employmentWork towards monthly placement and outcome targetsSupport sustainable employment outcomes through regular follow-up and engagementEmployer Engagement & Reverse MarketingDevelop relationships with local employers and recruitment partnersReverse market suitable candidates to employersIdentify employment opportunities that align with participant goals and capabilitiesPromote the benefits of inclusive hiring practicesSupport employers throughout the recruitment processCompliance, Administration & PerformanceMaintain accurate participant records and activity notesManage programme compliance and contractual requirementsUtilise internal systems and CRM platforms effectivelyAchieve agreed KPIs relating to placements, outcomes and participant engagementEnsure all paperwork and activity is completed to required standardsEssential CriteriaExperience in a customer-facing,
