The site includes one main operating theatre and a procedural suite, supporting a broad range of surgical services.
You won't be working alone.
You will be supported by the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Surgical Service manager, Waitlist Coordinator and your fellow theatre team.
A comprehensive orientation program will set you up for success, as well as future opportunities to progress toward Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

About the RoleThe Pre-Assessment Clinic Nurse works within the Acute and Surgical Services team, reporting to the NUM and collaborating closely with the Waitlist team in a dynamic peri-operative environment.This role is key to ensuring patients are thoroughly assessed and optimised prior to surgery.You will:⭐ Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments⭐ Identify and manage high-risk patients⭐ Coordinate pre- and post-operative care plans⭐ Ensure patients are fully prepared prior to admission⭐ Liaise across multidisciplinary teams to support seamless surgical pathways About YouWe are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable AHPRA approved registered nurse with:Experience in Operating Theatre, Anaesthetics, or Critical CareStrong understanding of surgical procedures and anaesthetic risksExperience in triaging patients and assessing readiness for admission (RFA) using systems such as IPM, CAP, medical records and GP health summariesExcellent communication and coordination skills.The Perks✅ Proximity to shopping and other services✅ Sustainable Healthcare - Together towards zero ✅ Monthly Allocated Days Off (for full-time employees) ✅ Paid parental leave to support your next big chapter (for eligible employees)✅ Salary packaging options - up to $11,600 plus novated leasing ✅ Fitness Passport for health and well-being - discounted gym options for you and your family ✅ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for staff and family members Need more information?
