Task & responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Monitoring budgets, cash flow and financial performance.
Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST and other taxation-related reports.
Assisting with year-end financial reporting and external audits.
Analysing financial information and identifying trends to support business planning.
Reconciling bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and company policies.
Assisting management with budgeting,



forecasting and financial planning.
Maintaining accounting systems and recommending improvements to financial processes.
Liaising with external accountants, auditors and regulatory authorities when required.
Qualification & experience To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
A minimum of 1–2 years of full-time relevant accounting experience .
Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles and taxation requirements.
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar accounting systems.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Professional membership or progress towards CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants ANZ will be viewed favourably.
