Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of rail infrastructure projects, we are seeking experienced Track Protection Officers (TPOs) to join our Rail Safety team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Rail Safety Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing rail safety protection for works undertaken within or adjacent to the rail corridor.
You will ensure rail operations, workers and infrastructure remain protected through the application of Network Rules, Rail Safety National Law and Maali Group's accredited Safety Management System.




Your Responsibilities
Plan and implement safe worksite protection arrangements.
Prepare Site Protection Plans and conduct Rail Safety Briefings.
Coordinate protection activities with Network Control Officers.
Monitor worksites and ensure protection arrangements remain effective throughout the shift.
Identify hazards, assess risks and implement appropriate controls.
Verify workforce competency before work commences.
Maintain accurate rail safety records and documentation.
Mentor developing Protection Officers where required.
Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Stop work whenever unsafe conditions are identified.
About You
You are a confident and experienced Track Protection Officer who leads by example and places safety above everything else.
You will have:
Excellent knowledge of PTA and/or Arc Infrastructure Network Rules.
Robust communication and leadership skills.
High levels of situational awareness.
Sound risk assessment and decision-making ability.
Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role you must hold:
Current WA C Class Driver's Licence
Current Category 1 Rail Medical
Current PTA Protection Officer accreditation (PO1 or PO2 or PO3)
Current Arc Infrastructure accreditation (POLO and/or POTV)
TLIF**** Apply Safety Critical Communications
Construction White Card
Desirable
Experience working across both PTA and Arc Infrastructure networks
Experience on major rail infrastructure projects




Current First Aid qualification
Ability to work various shifts, day, night and weekend shifts as required
