As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist with the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of the business.
This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, meet reporting deadlines and contribute to the ongoing success of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting processes.
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
Coordinate the annual audit and liaise with external accountants.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Assist in preparing cash flow reports and financial information for management review
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial projections.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and company policies.




Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes.
Provide support and guidance to junior administrative and finance staff as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
· CPA or CA qualification (or currently studying towards one) will be highly regarded.
· Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
Experience within construction, mining or contracting industries (highly regarded).
Solid knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
Experience processing payroll and managing end-to-end finance functions.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using Viewpoint Vista (highly desirable).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
High level of attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
