Chef/Cook – Immediate StartWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team.
This role will initially be offered on a casual basis, with the prospect to transition to full-time employment upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements and plating guidelines.
Demonstrated knowledge of special diets including allergies/intolerances, supplements, texture-modified meals, soft diets, and purees.
Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
Manage stocktaking, ordering, and kitchen costing to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Maintain supplier relationships and assist with supplier management.
Ensure high standards of food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques in accordance with food safety legislation.
Follow cleaning schedules, complete required documentation, and participate in regular audits.
Supervise kitchen staff and support a positive team environment.
Ensure all kitchen staff comply with company policies, procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.




Maintain high standards across all aspects of kitchen operations.
Ensure privacy and confidentiality policies are strictly adhered to, with resident information only provided externally by authorised management.
Participate in company meetings, training sessions, reviews, and special projects as required.
Undertake additional duties as directed from time to time.
Essential Criteria
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 3 years' commercial cooking experience in any sector
NDIS Worker Clearance
Current COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Criteria
Certificate II in Kitchen Operations and/or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Experience cooking for large groups within aged care, disability, or childcare settings
HoursShifts are rostered between 7:00am and 6:30pm, across 4–5 days per week.
