Join Lotterywest and play a key role to to lead the design of integrated, future‐ready technology solutions that support our transformation toward an agile, cloud‐enabled, and customer‐focused digital operating model.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing secure and efficient integrated solutions that align with business requirements and architecture standards.
The role has the following key focus areas:
Solution architecture - leads the design and implementation of technical solutions for Lotterywest to ensure Lotterywest can most effectively use technology to deliver business outcomes
Technology standards– defines, applies and ensures adherence and understanding to defined architecture standards and ensures architectural decisions support performance, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance
Quality control – identifies and addresses risks associated with the technology platform and maintains quality, performance and security
Stakeholder Management – actively engages with stakeholders across the business to research and evaluate technology solutions capable of balancing their needs and those of the organisation
We're looking for
A strategic solution architect with proven experience designing secure, scalable and integrated enterprise systems.
A technical specialist with tertiary qualifications in IT,
computer science or engineering, and/or 5+ years' experience in complex technology environments.
A collaborative leader who can guide stakeholders, influence decisions and support high‐quality architectural outcomes.
A risk‐aware technology advisor skilled in evaluating performance, identifying platform risks and ensuring compliance with standards and security requirements.
A clear communicator with strong verbal and written skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into accessible briefings, recommendations and reports.

(1) Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in solution architecture practices, systems design and systems engineering
(2) Demonstrated high level experienced in application architecture and system integration, software specifications, development, and deployment, software quality standards, change and configuration management
(3) Demonstrated experience in applying Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, and designing and integrating solutions using REST and SOAP APIs, and modern data integration technologies.
(5) Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual, planning and problem-solving skills
