The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior SMSF Accountant to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.
Your role will have full ownership of compliance for the firm's substantial Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) portfolio – circa 80 funds, including a number in pension phase – managing all compliance work from beginning to end.
Your role will provide critical support to the business, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of SMSF compliance.
This is a genuinely important, standalone specialist position with no supervisory responsibilities, reporting directly to the partners.
For the right candidate, a full time arrangement will also include managing a portfolio of broader entity work (trusts, companies and partnerships).
Role requirements/duties include:
End-to-end compliance management for the firm's SMSF portfolio, including funds in pension phase.
Preparation of financial statements, tax returns and compliance documentation for SMSFs.




Use of BGL Simple Fund 360 for SMSF preparation and compliance.
Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships, using MYOB AE.
Direct liaison with the partners on priorities and technical matters.
Mandatory requirements for this role are:
Formal qualifications in CPA or equivalent (e.g. CA).
Proficiency with BGL Simple Fund 360.
Minimum of 8+ years' experience within public practice accounting and current SMSF compliance expertise.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage client files end-to-end.
Mature, calm, professional manner with a genuine interest in a long-term, specialist role.
High level attention to detail and time management skills.
Current Drivers Licence.
