An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Retail Group Operations Manager to join one of Australia's most unique and purpose-driven retail organisations based in Darwin.
Reporting directly to the GM Retail, this role will oversee a network of Area Managers across NT & QLD with a strong focus on leadership development, operational performance, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement across a large multi-site retail portfolio.

The previous leader in this position has recently been promoted internally into the GM Retail role.
About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role where no two days look the same.
You'll work closely with Area Managers and operational teams to drive:
Commercial performance and operational consistency Leadership coaching and team development Budgeting, forecasting and P&L; performance Process improvement and operational efficiencies Community and stakeholder engagement Workforce planning and succession development Retail standards and compliance across multiple sites The role is based in Darwin and includes regular travel to remote communities across the Northern Territory and Queensland.What You'll Be Doing
Leading and coaching a team of Area Managers Supporting operational strategy alongside the GM Retail Driving sales,



cost control and overall store performance Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies Supporting large-scale retail operations across diverse locations Building robust internal and external stakeholder relationships Developing leadership capability across the retail network Supporting budgeting and financial planning processes Driving a positive and people-focused leadership culture What You'll Bring Senior multi-site retail leadership experience Strong supermarket, grocery or large-format retail operations background Experience leading leaders across dispersed locations High commercial and financial acumen Strong budgeting, reporting and operational analysis capability A hands-on and adaptable leadership style Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to balance accountability with empathy and people leadership A passion for operational improvement and team development This role will suit someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys building strong teams, solving operational challenges and making a meaningful contribution.The Benefits
