Quality Assurance Officer
Principal Objective
The role is responsible for daily Quality Control functions within QA department and supporting Quality Assurance functions in a customer focused, efficient cost-effective manner.
Raw materials positive release to meet Quality management system requirements.
Responsibilities
Routine line checks across both shifts to maintain product compliance and GMP standards.
100% verification of assembled MCB batches prior to blending.
Daily positive release of raw materials including testing, checking Certificates of Analysis, and recording results.
Testing and positive release of incoming goods (ingredients & packaging) to ensure they meet specification.
Finished goods testing (over **** batches per month) to maintain compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Routine blenders checking to ensure food safety and allergens control.
Customer sample preparation, including increased sample frequency.
Liaise with suppliers regarding raw material non-compliances.
Conduct Housekeeping, Quality, and HSE audits in accordance with ISO ***** and ISO ***** requirements.
Assist with daily QC tasks including testing, sample preparation,



and labelling.
Develop SOPs for raw material testing where required.
Assist with the creation of product and raw material labels.
Additional EH&S; responsibilities including audits, reporting, incident support and compliance-driven tasks aligned with ISO ***** & ISO *****.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA, HSE, and production performance.
Skills & Experience Required
Formal qualifications in Food Science, Chemistry or a related discipline preferred.
Experience in chemical analysis, QC testing, or process control monitoring.
Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, and Quality Management Systems.
Qualification in Internal Auditing is desirable.
Understanding of Quality, Health & Safety (HSE) and safe working practices.
Strong written and verbal communication and basic arithmetic skills.
Computer literacy for data entry, reporting and processing.
Ability to work independently, manage workload and meet deadlines.
