We're a popular, vibrant cafe located in the beautiful coastal town of Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island.
Known for our delicious coffee, fresh local produce, and friendly atmosphere.
We're looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality Supervisor to join our dedicated team and help us continue to grow!
The Role As our Hospitality Supervisor, you'll be a key player in the daily operations of the cafe.
Working closely with the owners and Head Chef, you'll be responsible for:
Recruiting, inducting and training staff for roles such as food and beverage attendance, related retail activities.
Determining work requirements and allocating duties and supervising staff
Practicing proper workplace health and safety procedures
Responsibility for ensuring a high level of customer service
Comply with relevant regulations
Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certification
Maintain current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification
Holding keys for the security of bar and stock areas




Entry/supervision of entries in accounting records required to be kept and maintained under the relevant Act
Arranging remedial repairs of equipment
Maintain stock control
Taking inventory of goods for sale and ordering new stock
Ensuring that goods and services are correctly priced and displayed.
What We're Looking For: Proven experience in a hospitality supervisor role within a cafe or hospitality setting is desirable for the right candidate.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Native speaker or fluent in English is a must.
A passion for coffee, food, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Solid understanding of cafe operations, including POS systems and inventory.
Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays.
RSA Certification + Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for the hospitality industry.
You will need your own accommodation and transport.
