APPRENTICESHIP FIELD MANAGER (SCHOOL BASED)
Based in Melbourne Australia, the Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce (VACC) is an automotive industry employer association that protects and promotes the interests of its members throughadvocacy initiativesand the provision of automotive industry products and services.
Founded in ****, VACC today provides its members with access to a suite of support measures that assist them in running modern automotive businesses.
These includes access to Australia's largest automotivetechnical library, automotive-specific advice and assistance in human resources,workplace relations,OHS&Eregulation; training and compliance.
VACC alsoemploys more than 500 automotive apprentices through its group apprenticeship scheme facilitating placement with host employers in the industry.
About The Role
This is a rewarding role where you will help students transition from school into the automotive industry and support them throughout their apprenticeship journey.
Working across Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs, the School-Based Field Manager plays a key role in building relationships with schools, students, employers and training providers to promote automotive career pathways and create successful apprenticeship outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Promoting automotive apprenticeships and traineeships through schools, Local Employment Networks, career expos, information sessions and industry events.
Engaging with students through school visits and career activities to showcase opportunities within the automotive industry.
Identifying and recruiting suitable apprenticeship candidates, including pre-assessment testing, interviewing and placement activities.
Supporting apprentices throughout their apprenticeship through mentoring, coaching and wellbeing support.
Working with apprentices and host employers to address workplace,



learning or personal barriers that may impact successful completion.
Monitoring apprentice performance, attendance and training progress to ensure training contract requirements are met.
Collaborating with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and employers to support apprentice development and training outcomes.
Promoting VACC Auto Apprenticeships Group Training to schools, employers and industry stakeholders.
Managing apprentice employment matters, including absences, workplace issues, workers compensation claims and return-to-work arrangements where required.
The role includes an attractive salary package including base salary, superannuation, a fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and uniform.
About You

You will bring:
Experience working with schools, students, apprentices or young people.
Supervisory, coaching, mentoring or training experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders.
The ability to identify and support apprentices experiencing workplace, training or personal challenges.
Robust organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.




A proactive and self-motivated approach, with a focus on achieving outcomes and key performance indicators.
A commitment to providing exceptional service to apprentices, employers and schools.
A current driver's licence, Working with Children Check and the right to work in Australia are essential.
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Cert IV OHS (or higher) would be highly regarded.
