The Opportunity
Australian Industry Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is seeking a motivated Engineering Fabrication Apprentice to join a leading manufacturing business in Mooroopna.
This is an exciting chance to build a long-term career in the engineering industry while completing aCertificate III in Engineering Fabrication (Heavy Fabrication Stream).
You'll receive hands‐on training from experienced tradespeople and develop practical skills in welding, fabrication, cutting, grinding and metalwork within a professional workshop environment.
Position Details
Location: Mooroopna, VIC
Employment Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship (38 hours per week)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 1:00pm

Duties May Include
Examining and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications




Welding components using a variety of welding techniques
Fabricating and assembling metal products and structures
Cutting, grinding and shaping metal materials
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Operating welding equipment and fabrication machinery
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Assisting qualified tradespeople with fabrication projects
About You
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with the right to work in Australia
Completion of Year 10 High School
Genuine interest in welding, fabrication and engineering
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Good attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
Drivers Licence desirable but not essential
Reliable, punctual and committed to completing a four-year apprenticeship
