We'reseeking an experienced Manager Enterprise Risk & Assurance to lead and strengthen Coliban Water's enterprise-wide approach to risk management, compliance,assuranceand quality management.
Reporting to the Corporate Secretary & Governance Manager,you'llplay a key leadership role in championing a positive and mature risk culture, ensuring risk management is embedded in strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation.
This is an influential role working closely withbusiness managers and risk owners,leaders across the organisationincluding the Executive, auditors, governmentdepartmentsand other external stakeholders.The role will berequiredto provide reports to the Board and Committees.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and continuously improve Coliban Water's enterprise Risk Management Framework,processesand tools.
Champion a positive risk culture and strengthen risk maturity across all levels of the organisation.
Provide expert risk,complianceand assurance advice to leadersand risk owners.
Develop and oversee the strategic internal audit programaligned with the Standing Directions,as approved by the Audit & Risk Committee.
Undertake internal audits within the agreed remit to support the extensive scope of audit requirements.
Monitor audit actions and support the organisation to implement improvements arising from audit findings.
Lead corporate compliance and assurance activities, including relevant government reporting,attestationsand regulatory obligations.
Lead the annual assurance review and sign-off of the Standing Directions reporting obligations, ensuring any changes and updates are integrated into the system.
Lead the continued compliance and certification of our Quality Management System to ISO ****, and coordinate surveillance and re-certification audits for QMS, Environmental Management, and Safety.
Support the organisation's efforts towards anIntegrated Management Systems, providing expert advice and leading activities as directed.
ManageColiban Water's insurance portfolio, includingclaims management,provision of insuranceadviceto projectteams,
and managing theannual renewal process.
Prepare and present risk, compliance and assurance reporting to the Executive Leadership Team,Boardand relevant Committees.
Lead, guide and influence others while building capability across theorganisation.
This role presently has one direct report.
It isanticipatedthat subject tofuturefunding, a second direct report will be appointed to manage tasks related to the Quality Management System and IMS.
About you:
To be successful in this role,you'llbring extensive knowledge and experience across enterprise risk management, quality management, complianceand internal audit, ideally within a stategovernmententerprise, such as a water corporation,utilityor catchment management authority.
You'llbe comfortable operating in complex environments,providingexpert advice and applying sound judgement where decisions may have broader social, political, environmental,legaland financial implications.
You'll also bring:
Expert working knowledge and experience in risk and quality management, complianceand internal audit.
Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant professional experience.
Proven knowledge of internal auditing standards and relevant Victorian legislation and regulations.
Experience in insurance claims management.
Strong experience developing and implementing risk management frameworks and strategies.
Demonstrated ability to influence,negotiateand build robust relationships acrossdifferent levelsof an organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability toidentifyemerging risks and improvement opportunities.
The ability to lead, mentor and coach others and drive organisational change.

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement ****Band6$142,905 - $162,360 plussuperannuationsalaryrange will be offered to the successful candidatecommensuratewith their skills and experience.
