Chroma Painting and Services is seeking an experiencedPainterto join our team on aCasual or full-time basisin Brisbane.
This is a key position within our operations, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality painting services to our diverse client base.
As a Painter, you will be responsible for executing professional painting work across residential and commercial projects, ensuring every job meets our exacting standards and enhances the reputation of Chroma Painting and Services in the local market.
Key responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other appropriate tools
Select appropriate paint types, colours, and finishes in consultation with clients and supervisors
Protect surrounding areas and fixtures using drop sheets, masking tape, and other protective coverings
Maintain and care for painting equipment, ensuring tools are clean and in good working condition
Follow health and safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client expectations
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project progress and any issues
Work efficiently to meet project timelines and deadlines
Maintain a tidy and organised work environment, disposing of waste responsibly
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in painting and decorating,



or equivalent hands-on experience in the painting trade
Proven experience as a Painter working on residential and commercial projects
Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods
Proficiency with painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, and spray systems
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to job sites
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive approach to health and safety in the workplace
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
