About the Role
Griffin Australia is seeking experienced Concrete Patchers and Caulkers to join our team working across commercial construction projects throughout Western Australia.
This is a hands-on role involving concrete repairs, remedial works, joint preparation and sealant installation on a variety of commercial, industrial and civil construction projects.
Successful applicants will take pride in producing high-quality finishes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship.
Commercial patchers commonly undertake surface preparation, concrete repairs, grinding, filling and finishing, while caulkers install sealants to concrete joints and building elements.
Employment will commence as a casual contract for a 6 month probationary period.
Upon successful completion of probation, the position will transition to permanent full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out concrete patching and remedial repairs.
Grind, chase and prepare concrete surfaces.
Apply repair mortars, epoxy systems and patching compounds.
Install silicone, polyurethane and other construction sealants.
Prepare and clean expansion joints and saw cuts.
Apply backing rod, bond breakers and sealants to specification.
Finish sealant joints to a high standard.




Operate grinders, mixers, caulking guns and other hand and power tools.
Read and interpret drawings and project specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Complete work in accordance with company quality and WHS procedures.
Work effectively with supervisors, clients and other trades.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in commercial concrete patching and/or caulking.
White Card.
Current Australian Driver's License.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Solid attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Physically fit and capable of manual work.
Reliable with a positive attitude.
Full Australian working rights.
Highly Desirable
Minimum 2 years' commercial construction experience.
EWP License.
Working at Heights.
Boom Lift, Forklift or Telehandler tickets.
Experience using products such as Soudal, Fosroc, Dowsil and Sika, or similar repair and sealant systems.
