As a Crew Member Beach Maintenance, you'll play a key role in maintaining, improving, and restoring some of our region's most iconic coastal environments.
From dune rehabilitation to beach clean-ups and infrastructure repairs, this role is perfect for someone who values meaningful work with real community impactKey responsibilities include: Maintain vegetation across beaches, lagoons and coastal reserves-pruning, weed control and plantingAssist with improvement and construction works such as fencing, beach accessways, dune rehab and repairing coastal infrastructureOperate a range of hand tools, power tools and specialised machinery safely and effectivelySupport lagoon openings, flood recovery and emergency works (including after-hours when required)Safely operate small articulated dump trucks, beach tractors, 4WD vehicles and trailersMonitor for potential asbestos, identifying risks and supporting protected removal and disposalRemove biological and non-biological hazards from beaches and waterways, including assisting with sea mammal interaction managementWork closely with your crew to coordinate tasks,
solve problems and meet daily maintenance schedulesThis position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.To be successful in this role, you will have:Medium Rigid (MR) Driver LicenceAQF3 Chemical AccreditationGeneral Construction Induction Card (NSW SafeWork or equivalent)Chainsaw competency (trim & cross-cut felled trees)Current First Aid CertificateCompleted 4WD Vehicle TrainingAsbestos Awareness TrainingCompetency in Loader Wheel Steer (LL) operationOffer Details The commencing salary for this position is up to $66K.
