Remuneration:AHP2 ($94,997 - $110,052) plus 12% superannuation
Role Details:
This position is only open to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent pursuant to Section 56 (2) of the Equal Opportunity Act, ****.
As anAboriginal Case Manager(AHP2), situated inMount Barker, you will undertake exemplary case management services to fulfill the needs of children and young people.
Working at a flexible, part-time capacity, the role will deliver targeted intervention to heighten positive outcomes for clientele.
Adhering to statutory guidelines, you will ensure families are properly assisted in fortifying the stability and security of their children.
These responsibilities are vital in strengthening DCP's Practice Approach to inform sound case management and uphold cultural awareness.
Desirable Qualifications:
A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Skilled roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
In this role, you will:
Appropriately respond to notifications of child abuse and investigation outcomes involving Aboriginal families
Evaluate care risks of children in line with departmental policies
Generate written and verbal reports that reflect evidence-based data and informative information
Utilise culturally informed models of practice to pinpoint care concerns
Assist families to connect to meaningful community-based services to boost independence and prosperity.

You can competently respond to notices of child abuse to uphold exceptional care measures
You are a phenomenal team collaborator who can liaise with an array of internal and external stakeholders
You are highly organised and can prioritise important tasks and responsibilities

Salary:
AHP2: $94,997 - $110,052 + 12% super
+4% child protection allowance
+Regional financial incentive
+Professional Development Allowance
+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
AHP2positions are also entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
