Experienced Medical Receptionist – Full Time For Neurosurgery Practice
We have an exciting opportunity for anexperienced Medical Receptionistto join our busy neurosurgery practice on afull-timebasis, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in providing a skilled, welcoming and efficient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the practice.
We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual with a strongcan-do attitude, excellent multitasking skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced specialist environment while contributing positively to the wider team.
Clinic Locations
Penrith – Main Office
Drummoyne : Monthly
Travel between clinic locations is required
Requirements:
Must hold a valid driver's licence.
Must have access to your own reliable car.
Key Responsibilities
Meet and greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
Schedule consultations and manage patient enquiries
Maintain confidential and accurate medical records
Process invoicing, receipting and consultation billings
Attend to doctors' administrative requests
Liaise closely with the Practice Manager regarding surgical and theatre bookings
Prepare surgical quotes and Workers Compensation report quotes
Manage Workers Compensation matters,
including approvals and payment follow-up
Process clinical notes and medical record requests from insurers and legal representatives
Follow up outstanding accounts, including Medicare, DVA and Workers Compensation
Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and within required timeframes
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical practice or similar healthcare environment
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist is essential
Experience with Genie and/or Gentu medical software is highly desirable
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Office
Sound knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational, time-management and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
