Base Salary $110k - $126k pa pro rata (dependent on experience / qualifications) + Super & Salary Packaging
The Hospital Outreach Post Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) Program is a specialist program within Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS), delivering specialised mental health care for young people for aged ***** years experiencing acute onset of deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts and/or suicide attempt(s) and may also present with a range of co-morbid health and well-being issues.
HOPE services provide clinical and psychosocial support for eligible people for a 3-month period.
Contact with eligible young people occurs within 24-hours of referral and focus of care targets stressors that may have contributed to the person considering/attempting suicide and/or deliberate self-harm.

The Opportunity:
The Senior Mental Health Clinician role is part of the senior clinical leadership role within the HOPE Program at PYMHWS.
The position supports advancing evidence-based, recovery-oriented and developmentally informed clinical practice across the HOPE Program working in close partnership with the HOPE Coordinator and Consultant Psychiatrist.
The senior role provides clinical expertise and support to the multidisciplinary staff through supervision, mentoring and education, and offers expert advice on clinical presentations, particularly in relation to young people experiencing psychosocial drivers impacting their mental health alongside holding your own caseload.
In line with the evolving nature of the service, the incumbent may be required to work flexibly across multiple sites.

About You:
A mental health clinician experienced in, and passionate about, early intervention and evidence-based care for young people experiencing acute onset of deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts and/or suicide attempt(s) and may also present with a range of co-morbid health and well-being issues.
Eligible disciplines: Grade 4 RPN, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker / Grade 3 Psychologist
Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
Minimum 5 years' experiencein tertiary and/or youth mental health and a demonstrated ability to lead a clinical team,



supervise mental health clinicians, and function both autonomously and collaboratively with other clinical and organisational leaders
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
