A well-established engineering consultancy delivering multidisciplinary engineering services across the oil & gas, energy and industrial sectors. With a strong portfolio of Australian projects, they are seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their growing Brisbane team.
Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will support the design and delivery of electrical systems across a variety of energy and industrial projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to produce high-quality engineering solutions from design through to construction support.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical designs, calculations and engineering documentation.
Develop single line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules and equipment specifications.
Complete electrical studies using ETAP, SKM or similar software.
Assist with power distribution, equipment sizing and motor control design.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and drafting personnel.
Support procurement activities,
vendor documentation reviews and technical evaluations.
Provide engineering support during project execution and construction.
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian and international standards.
Required skillset
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Eligible for or registered with Engineers Australia.
5-7 years' experience in electrical engineering within oil & gas, energy or industrial projects.
Previous EPCM or engineering consultancy experience is highly regarded.
Solid knowledge of LV/MV power distribution systems and electrical design principles.
Experience with ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, Plant 3D or similar engineering software.
Understanding of AS/NZS, IEC and IEEE standards.
Robust communication skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
