Boilermaker / Fabricator
to join a well-established engineering and maintenance business based in Brisbane.
This is an excellent prospect for a trade-qualified Boilermaker looking for stable, long-term employment with a company delivering a diverse range of engineering, fabrication and maintenance projects.
About the Role
Working as part of an experienced workshop and site team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair and maintenance of a variety of steel and metal components and equipment.
The role will provide plenty of variety, with the opportunity to work across both workshop-based fabrication and maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble structural and general steelwork.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
Measure, mark, cut and prepare materials for fabrication.
Perform MIG, TIG and/or ARC welding as required.
Fit and assemble fabricated components accurately.
Carry out repairs, modifications and maintenance work.
Use workshop machinery, hand tools and fabrication equipment.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
Work collaboratively with other trades and engineering personnel.
Assist with installation and site-based work when required.
About You
Trade qualification as a
Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
.
Previous experience in a fabrication, engineering or maintenance environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Strong welding and fabrication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong safety awareness.
A reliable and hardworking attitude.
