Find people you can count on, and a lifestyle you love The Transfer Station Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and environmentally responsible operation of rural transfer stations.
This role involves managing waste receival and processing, assisting customers with waste disposal and recycling, handling payments and records, maintaining site cleanliness, and adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
The position requires a high level of independence and customer service in often isolated work environments.
Working 16 hours per week , this role offers an excellent work-life balance while providing the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to environmental sustainability and community service.
You'll work with a great team to: Operate gatehouse systems accurately, including handling electronic payments and maintaining transaction records.
Inspect and classify waste loads, educate customers on waste separation, and promote recycling practices.
Maintain a clean and organized site environment, including litter collection and general upkeep.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including hazard reporting and correct use of PPE.
Provide clear customer assistance and directions,



including distributing educational materials and bin liners.
What you'll bring To thrive in this role, you will need: Valid Class C Drivers Licence.
Demonstrated general administrative skills, including competent literacy, numeracy, basic computer proficiency, and cashier experience.
Good customer service and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to manage own workload, priorities, and task effectively.
Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment.
We would also love you to have: (Desirable requirements) Effective conflict resolution skills.
Relevant work experience in a waste management environment.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $***** to $***** plus allowances and superannuation.
