About Goodness Grown
Goodness Grown is a high-tech controlled workplace agriculture business producing premium tomatoes in a 20-hectare glasshouse and packhouse facility at Tongala, in northern Victoria. The site brings together climate control, automation, heating and CO2 systems, irrigation and fertigation, and a full packing operation, and operates under Freshcare, HARPS and Fair Farms certification.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for all maintenance operations, engineering standards and the performance of the maintenance team across the site. The role protects production continuity: keeping plant, equipment, infrastructure and grounds maintained to the highest engineering and safety standards, managing breakdown risk before it becomes downtime, and leading a multi-skilled team that keeps a complex facility running. The role works closely with the Senior Grower and key external suppliers.

Own the preventative maintenance schedule across all plant, equipment and infrastructure on site
Oversee the operation and maintenance of heating and CO2 systems, including coal and gas boilers
Ensure reliable water, irrigation and fertiliser delivery to the glasshouse through planned maintenance of irrigation and fertigation systems
Manage breakdown assessment and repair across the site to prevent or minimise production downtime, supported by a critical spares inventory
Maintain the picking trolley fleet to a minimum 96% serviceability target
Develop annual maintenance budgets and manage capital expenditure with the General Manager
Build and maintain critical breakdown pathways with the Senior Grower and key suppliers, with a backup plan for every key process failure
Manage structural repairs and upgrades, including work at height and in confined spaces, to the highest engineering and safety standards
Drive a strong safety culture across the team and contractors: inductions, test and tag, PPE, and supervised high-risk work

Trade qualification or equivalent technical qualification
Minimum five years' experience managing staff in an engineering or maintenance environment
