10th August, **** Our client is a well-established construction materials manufacturer based in Wangara, operating a dry-mix manufacturing facility with a range of automated fixed plant and processing equipment.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their hands-on maintenance team.
This is a great opportunity for a trade-qualified fitter looking for a Monday to Friday day-shift role.
The Role Working within a team of approximately 40 people on site, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing fixed plant and associated mechanical equipment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Preventative and reactive maintenance of fixed plant and machinery Mechanical fault finding and breakdown maintenance Troubleshooting pneumatic systems and components Working with PLC-controlled equipment Identifying and rectifying mechanical issues to minimise downtime Completing general maintenance and repairs Carrying out minor fabrication and modification work as required Supporting the wider maintenance team to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification Previous experience working with fixed plant or industrial machinery Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Experience with pneumatic systems An understanding of PLC-controlled equipment Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a small team A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance Good communication and problem-solving skills A strong commitment to workplace health and safety A Forklift Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
