About the opportunity As our Retail Customer Service Officer, you'll play an key part in helping Australians service their own businesses, keeping millions of people connected and building community resilience.
Every year around one million customers walk into one of our Australia Post Offices.
It's our retail teams who make sure that every experience they have is a great one.
And while they do, they're supported by a welcoming team, take part in ongoing training, and are guided on career development opportunities.
You'll be Providing outstanding customer service to retail and business customers.
Processing cash, EFTPOS and financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
Counting and handling cash, following strict procedures.
Processing Identity Services, Digital ID verification and Passport applications in accordance with compliance requirements.
Assisting customers with postal, parcel, banking and bill payment services.
Supporting Local Business Partner (LBP) activities and build relationships with business customers.
Promoting and recommend Australia Post products and services to meet customer needs.
Maintaining accurate records and follow operational procedures.
Assisting with mail, parcel and stock management.
Supporting team members to achieve service, compliance and sales targets.
Contributing to a safe, organised and customer-focused workplace.
Role Details Work closely with the Postal Leader across two business operations, gaining valuable leadership exposure and development.
Genuine career progression opportunities, with future leadership pathways expected to become available.
This position commences at $***** per hour for approximately 3 months, increasing to $***** per hour plus 12% Superannuation .
Plus district allowance from $1,210 per annum .
Plus an additional 2 days' leave per year .
Extensive paid training on commencement, with ongoing support and development.
This full time position is Monday to Friday, 8:50am - 5:11pm .
About you You are a quick leaner, keen to assist your local community You're a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves working in a team environment.
You're ready to put the customer at the centre of everything you do to help make a difference in the community.
You'll also need to Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift.
