Job details About the Client Working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Brisbane, this organisation specialises in the design and production of heavy equipment and attachments.
With a strong pipeline of ongoing and upcoming projects, they are seeking additional support within their drafting and documentation team to assist with a high volume of technical work.
What you will be doing This position is a 100% drafting and documentation-focused role, with no design or engineering responsibilities.
You will be working full-time (38 hours per week) in a fully office-based environment at their Brisbane facility, with the flexibility to nominate a consistent start time between 6:00am and 9:00am.
In this role, you will support engineering and production teams by preparing, updating and maintaining accurate technical drawings and documentation.
You will play a key role in ensuring all deliverables are completed in line with project requirements and timeframes, contributing to the efficient delivery of multiple active projects.
Your role will include: Preparation and revision of mechanical and manufacturing drawings Updating CAD models and drawings to reflect as-built configurations Producing detailed drawings, DXF files and Bills of Materials from existing design requirements Maintaining and updating the engineering drawing library Entering product part numbers and Bills of Materials into Epicor Preparing and updating technical documentation, manuals, data sheets and procedures Drafting modifications and revisions to existing products and designs Liaising with Engineering and Production teams to ensure documentation is accurate and issued on time All work will be supervised and reviewed by the relevant project engineer.




While there are several urgent projects currently driving the need, there is also a strong pipeline of future work.
What you will need To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in mechanical drafting or a similar field, with the ability to step into a fast-paced setting and become productive quickly.
Experience in mechanical drafting or a similar role Exposure to heavy engineering, hydraulic equipment, earthmoving equipment, mobile plant or attachments will be highly regarded Strong CAD experience and ability to work from existing designs High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineering and production teams Experience with ERP systems (such as Epicor) and BOM management is desirable Whats in it for you?
