About the role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our team on this once-in-a-generation project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will support the efficient and effective administration of commercial and contractual matters, and day to day administration of contracts.
This position is based in Melbourne CBD office.
Key Responsibilities
Administer commercial and contractual activities across the project lifecycle, including procurement, subcontract management, variations and extensions of time (EOTs)
Prepare and manage tender documentation, contract correspondence, payment claims, commercial reports, cost forecasts and contract registers.
Support cost control, budgeting, forecasting and earned value reporting while maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation.
Build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure commercial outcomes, compliance and timely project delivery.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities, providing support to the Commercial Manager on contract administration, claims and project reporting.
Experience and Capabilities
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial quantity surveying role in civil construction and maintenance industry.
Sound understanding of construction contracts, procurement, subcontract administration, Security of Payment (SOPA), variations, EOTs and commercial risk management.
Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.




Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in MS Office and contract management systems.
