About the role This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine frontline practice expertise with team coaching, operational oversight, and performance support.
You will lead the team's approach to quality, safety, client voice, and outcome achievement-while building strong partnerships across the sector.
Key responsibilities In this role, you will: Manage and track intake/waitlists, maintain referral pathways, and support delivery against annual client targets Lead direct intervention on high-risk acute cases , applying strong risk management and decision-making Ensure consistent use and completion of our clients Narrative Assessment Tools , embedding client voice in assessment Coach and develop staff to deliver client empowerment interventions and record practice using the organisations Coaching App Build weekly dashboards and operational systems to track throughput and outcomes (e.g., consent rates, home visits, caseload benchmarks, client outcomes) Implement individual development plans, in-field coaching and performance support to lift practice quality and consistency Drive a feedback-informed culture using brief wellbeing measurement tools (Session Rating Scale / Outcome Rating Scale) Complete monthly management requirements for direct reports (feedback, supervision, performance coaching) What you'll bring You'll ideally meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree in a relevant social services field + 4+ years case management experience (family support, child protection, youth,
housing, or similar), or Diploma in a relevant community/services field + 6+ years case management experience in a similar setting You will also have: Solid applied understanding of child safety and social work/theoretical frameworks, and the ability to guide staff practice Working knowledge of relevant legislation (child protection, housing, etc.) and ability to coach teams on compliance requirements Proven people leadership capability (workflow direction, quality assurance, culture building, forward planning) Confidence engaging stakeholders (Child Safety, schools, hospitals, community services) and influencing outcomes Ability to connect clients into wrap-around supports across programs and partner services Strong problem-solving skills within a safety-first, risk-managed framework Mandatory requirements National Police Check Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain Driver's licence Evidence of work rights in Australia Willingness to travel regularly for community-based work Benefits of the role?
