Tenure: Full time and ongoing Schedule: Includes weekday and weekend shifts Salary: Negotiable in the range $79k to $85k + superannuation per annum About the Role The Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
You will lead menu execution, supervise and develop kitchen staff, uphold food safety standards, and maintain a positive, efficient and professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities of our Chef will include: Lead, mentor and inspire the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high‐quality results.
Manage the hiring, onboarding and training of cooks and kitchen staff.
Oversee (and participate in) the preparation, cooking and presentation of all meals across all sections.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, waste management, cost control and budgeting.
Develop,



test and introduce new menu items and specials in consultation with the Management team.
Maintain strict compliance with OH S, Food Safety and HACCP standards.
Work alongside the management team About you: You have a passion for well developed and presented cuisine and hospitality, staying up to date on modern techniques and culinary trends.
You can demonstrate an uncompromising attitude towards flavor and presentation of the highest quality, whilst aligning and motivating a cohesive and hardworking team setting.
Are empathetic to those around you and work well under pressure.
Have substantial experience working in similar restaurants or professional dining environment.
To be successfully considered for the role, you: Possess excellent relevant post-secondary cookery-related qualifications, to at least Diploma level or agreed substitute.
Have at least one or more years' experience since earning your qualifications, ideally in a similar cuisine, in busy commercial venues at this level of seniority.
Are available throughout the working week and weekends.
Offer proven ability to prioritize, set goals, and have the determination to achieve them.
Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
Understand cost control, time management, prioritization, and cost-efficient procurement practices.
Are an excellent people manager able to get the most out of your team .
