Job description Troocoo is proudly partnering with Southern Cross Care Queensland, as we go to market in search for their next Head of People Culture, to join one of the most respected not-for-profit aged care providers, supporting thousands of older Australians through residential aged care, community services and retirement living.
As Head of People Culture, you'll have the opportunity to influence the future of a purpose-driven organisation by leading the people strategy that enables exceptional care.
Reporting to the Chief People Mission, you will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team to foster a high-performing, values-led culture while ensuring the organisation is well positioned to meet the opportunities and challenges of an evolving aged care landscape.
About the role As a key member of the People Mission leadership team, you will lead a broad and diverse People Culture portfolio across Southern Cross Care Queensland.
This is a rare prospect for an experienced HR Leader who thrives on balancing strategic thinking with operational leadership and enjoys building engaged teams, developing leaders and driving meaningful organisational outcomes.
Your focus will include: Leading and inspiring a high-performing People Culture team across business partnering, organisational development, learning and development, employee relations, workforce planning, WHS and people operations Partnering with senior leaders to develop workforce strategies that support organisational performance and long-term sustainability Driving initiatives that strengthen organisational culture,



leadership capability and employee engagement Providing expert advice across complex employee and industrial relations matters, including Enterprise Bargaining and workforce change Championing organisational development initiatives that build capability, improve performance and support transformation Ensuring contemporary people systems, processes and governance that enable exceptional employee experiences while maintaining legislative compliance Contributing as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team on strategic people initiatives that deliver meaningful business outcomes About you You're an experienced People Culture leader who combines commercial thinking with genuine care for people.
You enjoy influencing senior stakeholders, leading through change and creating environments where people and organisations can thrive.
You'll bring: Significant senior leadership experience across Human Resources, People Culture or Organisational Development A proven ability to develop and execute strategic people initiatives while remaining comfortable operating in a hands-on leadership role.
Strong experience leading organisational change, workforce planning and leadership capability programs Deep knowledge of industrial relations,



enterprise bargaining, employee relations and contemporary employment legislation A collaborative and authentic leadership style with the ability to build credibility across executive and operational stakeholders Exceptional communication, coaching and relationship-building skills Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline Experience within Health, Aged care, Community Services or another complex, multi-site environment will be highly regarded but is not essential Why join Southern Cross Care At Southern Cross Care Queensland, you'll join an organisation where purpose and people are at the center of everything they do.
