Join Northern Private Hospital , part of Ramsay Health Care, and play a key role in strengthening referral networks, supporting Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and driving the growth of one of Melbourne's leading private hospitals.
About the Role Reporting to the Hospital CEO, you will work closely with the Executive Team and Ramsay's Business Development Growth function to build and strengthen relationships across Melbourne's northern healthcare community.
This highly visible role is responsible for increasing GP referrals, supporting VMO engagement, promoting Northern Private Hospital's services and specialties, and identifying opportunities to grow hospital activity across key service lines.
You will work closely with General Practitioners, Practice Managers, Allied Health professionals, Specialists and VMOs to enhance the hospital's profile and ensure Northern Private remains a trusted healthcare partner within the region.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement GP engagement and referral growth strategies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices, Practice Managers, Allied Health professionals and VMOs.
Promote Northern Private Hospital's services, specialties and clinician capabilities.
Support VMO onboarding, engagement and private practice growth.
Identify referral trends, growth opportunities and emerging market needs.
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide activity reporting and market insights.
Partner with hospital leadership to support strategic business development initiatives.
Represent the hospital at networking events, education sessions and stakeholder meetings.




About You You are an experienced relationship manager who enjoys building partnerships and influencing positive outcomes across the healthcare sector.
You will bring: Experience in healthcare liaison, business development, stakeholder engagement or a similar relationship-focused role.
Strong communication, networking and influencing skills.
Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals.
Experience coordinating engagement activities, events or education sessions.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience using CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
The ability to analyse referral activity and identify growth opportunities.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the local catchment.
Desirable Experience within private healthcare or the broader healthcare industry.
Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Health or a related discipline.
Understanding of GP referral pathways and specialist engagement.
Experience with CRM reporting, Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
