About the Role Our client is an established construction consultancy seeking an experienced Building Consultant to join their growing team.
This role will suit a building professional with robust technical knowledge and experience in defect analysis, inspections and remedial works.
You will manage a variety of projects, work closely with clients and provide practical, technically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities Conduct building inspections and identify causes of damage, including design, construction and maintenance issues.
Undertake defect analysis and water intrusion investigations.
Provide causation analysis and remediation recommendations.
Prepare detailed building inspection reports.
Develop remedial Scopes of Work.
Monitor repair works against approved Scopes of Work.
Liaise with clients, builders, contractors and consultants.
Build strong client relationships through professional communication.
Manage multiple assignments and deliver on client and financial outcomes.
Mentor and support junior staff.
Skills Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in building and construction .
Residential high-rise and low-rise experience highly desirable.
Experience in defect analysis and water intrusion investigations.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and industry best practice .
Remedial consultancy experience highly desirable.
Degree or equivalent qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.




Professional demeanour and commitment to quality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools .
