About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on
Trades Assistant / Field Technician
to join our Electronic Security team, supporting the installation, servicing and maintenance of electronic and temporary security solutions.
The role can be adapted to your existing experience. Those newer to the industry will receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced technicians, while candidates with existing technical knowledge will have opportunities to work more independently and take on greater technical responsibilities.
Your Day-to-Day
Start your day at the
FSR Head Office in Mawson Lakes
,



collecting your allocated work vehicle, tools and equipment.
Travel to client and project sites across South Australia.
Assist with or independently complete installations, servicing and maintenance depending on your experience.
Complete tasks including
running cabling, mounting equipment, changing batteries, installing hardware, basic fault finding and routine maintenance
.
Install, maintain and relocate permanent and temporary security solutions.
Maintain accurate records and ensure tools, vehicles and equipment are maintained and ready for use.
What We're Looking For
Confidence using basic tools such as drills, saws and measuring equipment.
Practical, hands-on ability and a willingness to learn.
Experience in
electronic security, electrical, communications, construction or another technical/trade environment is highly regarded but not essential
.
CCTV, alarms, access control, cabling or similar experience is highly regarded. Experience with systems such as Integriti, AJAX, and other leading systems highly regarded.
Physically capable of completing manual and labour-intensive duties. Lift and manoeuvre equipment over 15kg and work within active construction environments.
White Card (mandatory).
Additional tickets such as Forklift, Scissor Lift, EWP or Working at Heights are highly regarded.
Current driver's licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle.




Ability to confidently tow a trailer.
Reliable, qualified and able to manage assigned tasks independently.
Strong communication, problem-solving and time-management skills.

Based from FSR Head Office, Mawson Lakes, with work across South Australia.
Employment:
Full-time, permanent position.
Hours:
Primarily weekday work, with occasional weekend requirements.
Vehicle & Tools:
Work vehicle and required tools of trade provided.
Conditions:
Regular and random drug and alcohol testing applies.
