Due to growing demand and consistent patronage, we are seeking a full-time cook to join our dynamic team and support our busy kitchen operations.
This role is based at our restaurant located at **** Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach NSW ****.

Main Duties and Responsibilities The appointee undertakes to perform all tasks assigned for the position of a Cook efficiently and accurately.
Such tasks will include but are not limited to: •Prepare and cook a variety of meals as outlined in the restaurant's menu, including adjustments for special dietary needs and customer preferences.
•Complete daily mise-en-place tasks such as cutting, marinating, and arranging ingredients to streamline kitchen operations.
•Follow standard portion sizes, seasoning levels, and plating techniques to ensure consistency in every dish.
•To maintain a productive workflow and ensure that duties are undertaken in a hygienic, methodical, and satisfactory manner.
•Monitor and adjust cooking equipment like ovens, grills, and stoves to maintain accurate temperatures for various dishes.
•Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality before use to uphold the restaurant's food standards.
•Maintain food safety procedures, including logging cooking, cooling, and storage temperatures as per internal guidelines.
•Store perishable items like meat and dairy correctly and ensure raw and cooked foods are kept separate to avoid cross-contamination.
•Use kitchen tools, especially knives, safely and effectively, and keep them in good condition through regular maintenance.
•Keep work areas clean and hygienic by sanitising surfaces and equipment after use and between preparations.
•Assist in stock control by checking inventory, identifying low supplies, and ordering quality ingredients as required.
•Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or seasonal updates based on ingredient availability and customer feedback.
•Provide on-the-job training to junior staff to ensure consistent cooking practices and safety procedures are followed.
•Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure kitchen staff follow the same.
Personal Qualified Attributes •Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
•At least one year of experience in a similar role is required.
•Enthusiastic and motivated individual.
•Able to work in a team and autonomously.
•Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude.
•Adherence to OH S and Food Safety regulations •Availability 7 days a week including days/nights/weekends/split shifts and public holidays.
