About the role
RTBG Group is seeking a
Truck Driver (Tipper HR/HC)
to join our Road Transport team on a
casual basis
. This role is based in
Maitland / Hunter area NSW
and offers flexibility for drivers seeking ongoing work opportunities within the transport and logistics sector. As a Tipper Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy rigid and heavy combination vehicles, transporting materials and goods to various locations. This position is crucial to maintaining our operational efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our clients throughout the region.
Key responsibilities
Safely operate HR/HC tipper trucks in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
Properly load, secure and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution is correct and loads are stabilised
Operate tipper mechanisms safely and correctly to discharge loads at designated sites
Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation in accordance with transport legislation
Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors and other team members
Adhere to all speed limits, traffic laws and company driving standards
Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Assist with minor maintenance tasks and cleaning as required
What we're looking for
Current and valid HR/HC driver's license (Heavy Rigid/Heavy Combination)
Current good licence record
White card
Road Ranger gearbox experience - essential
Proven experience operating tipper trucks in the transport and logistics industry
Robust knowledge of road safety regulations and transport compliance requirements




Excellent vehicle handling skills and situational awareness
Ability to work independently whilst following company procedures and protocols
Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
Reliability and punctuality in meeting delivery schedules
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading activities
Flexibility to work varying hours, including early starts and weekend work as required
