Job Opportunity: Waste Operations Logistics Officer
We are seeking a proactive and organised Waste Operations Logistics Officer to coordinate and support the productive movement of materials, equipment, and resources across waste operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely service delivery, compliance with operational standards, and optimal resource utilisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily logistics activities including vehicle movements, deliveries, and equipment transfers
Maintain accurate records of schedules, inventory, and documentation
Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth operations
Monitor logistics performance and identify areas for improvement
Assist with procurement and stock control
Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and policies




Support emergency or unplanned logistics needs as required
Fleet & Coverage:
Servicing 25 sites across Shoalhaven, Illawarra, and Sydney
Managing 20 vehicles and up to 15 contractor vehicles
Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations or Logistics, or relevant experience
Strong organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., GPS tracking, inventory systems)
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements
Current Class C Driver's Licence
Proof of Australian residency/citizenship or valid work visa
Experience in local government or waste management logistics
Understanding of environmental regulations related to waste transport
Ability to interpret and apply Council policies
Familiarity with the local government setting
