Toolmaker
to join our team. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional who enjoys a mix of
tooling, maintenance, fabrication, and continuous improvement
within a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

About The Role:
Reporting to the
Operational Excellence Manager
, this role provides critical technical support across our
production and assembly operations
.
You will play a key role in:
Supporting tooling and die casting performance
Contributing to continuous improvement and automation initiatives
This is a
hands-on, workshop-based role
suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving and delivering practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, repair, and overhaul dies casting
Inspect tooling for wear, defects, and performance issues
Perform machining, polishing, fitting, and modification work
Support die life management and tooling optimisation
Production & Maintenance Support
Provide day-to-day technical support to production teams
Diagnose and repair machinery breakdowns
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
Minimise downtime and maintain production targets
Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures
Manufacture, modify, and maintain tooling and production aids
Support new product introduction and assembly setups
Improve workholding and tooling methods
Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity
Support automation initiatives and process improvements
Work with engineering on equipment upgrades and modifications
Workshop Support
Operate workshop machinery safely and effectively
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts
About You:
Experience in a
manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong
mechanical troubleshooting and fabrication skills
Experience with
tooling, dies, or casting equipment
(highly regarded)
Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings and maintenance reports
Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and in a team
