Aluminium and Glass Constructions - Hornsby NSW
Architectural Aluminium & Glass Constructions | Hornsby NSW
Are you organised, hands-on, and looking for more than just a warehouse job?
Architectural Aluminium & Glass Constructions is one of Sydney's leading manufacturers and installers of high-end aluminium windows, doors and architectural glazing systems. We work with leading architects and builders on custom homes that demand precision and pride in workmanship.
We're looking for a Storeperson to become a key part of our small, close-knit team - someone who wants a long-term role with real variety, not just a warehouse routine.
Why This Role Is Different
This isn't just stock control. It's a genuinely hands-on role at the centre of our operation - one day you're on the factory floor, the next you're out on the road. No two days look the same, and there's real scope to grow your skills and licences over time.
What You'll Be Doing
Packing metal - a core part of the role
Loading and unloading our trucks, both manually and with the counterbalance forklift
Loading window and door frames and glass panels for delivery
Assisting our fabricating team where needed
Learning to use the variety of tools across our workshop
Travelling to site using our lite truck, vans and utes
Keeping factory stock organised and ready to go - rubbers, felts, and general consumables
Scope to be trained on our larger truck and work toward your MR licence if you're interested
Ideal Background
You may be:
An experienced storeperson or warehouse hand looking for more variety and hands-on factory work
A forklift operator wanting a role with genuine day-to-day variety
Someone from a trade or factory background who's organised and reliable
Previous experience in glass, aluminium, joinery or construction supply is a bonus - not essential. We're happy to train the right person.
What We're Looking For:
Counterbalance forklift licence
Reliability - someone we can count on to turn up and get the job done
Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Physically fit and comfortable handling large, heavy items (glass panels, frames, metal stock)
A current driver's licence
Hours
Monday to Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm, finishing 1pm on Fridays. Overtime paid when workload runs over capacity.
What You'll Get:
Weekly pay, plus paid overtime
Job security with an established, family-owned business
Genuine variety - warehouse, factory, and some driving, not just stock counts all day
A supportive, close-knit team that's been together a long time
Real progression - prospect to grow into more responsibility across the business over time, including truck driving if you're interested in getting your MR licence
