This is an outstanding prospect for experienced Specialist Anaesthetists seeking to join a modern regional referral hospital committed to clinical excellence, education and patient-centred care.
The Role As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will provide high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties while working within an experienced multidisciplinary team.
You will play an integral role in delivering safe, evidence-based care while contributing to education, departmental development and clinical governance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Delivering high-quality anaesthetic services across elective and emergency surgery
Providing perioperative assessment and optimisation of patients
Supporting theatre efficiency and perioperative planning
Participating in the on-call roster
Supervising Anaesthetic Registrars, Junior Medical Officers and medical students
Contributing to multidisciplinary perioperative care
Participating in quality improvement, clinical governance and service development initiatives
Supporting teaching, education and continuing professional development within the department

Fellows of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA); or
Overseas-trained Specialist Anaesthetists who have been assessed by ANZCA and require Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) only to achieve Fellowship.
Candidates who still require the
ANZCA SIMG Viva Examination
are
not currently eligible
for these positions.
