Bartender – New Malaysian Restaurant & Bar Opening in Prahran

A new Malaysian restaurant and bar is opening in Prahran, and we're looking for an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our opening team ahead of our launch in late July/August.
Created by the team behind Roti Bar, this exciting new venue will combine authentic Malaysian cuisine with a carefully curated beverage program, delivering a vibrant and memorable dining experience.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new venue from day one and help shape the bar experience as we establish ourselves in Prahran.
About the Role
As a Bartender, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality beverage service, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality.
You will work closely with management and the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service while maintaining high standards behind the bar.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar
Deliver friendly and qualified customer service
Engage with guests and provide beverage recommendations
Ensure responsible service of alcohol at all times
Assist with stock control, inventory counts, and ordering requirements
Support floor staff during busy service periods when required
Contribute to maintaining a positive and energetic team environment
What We're Looking For
Must be able to start
immediately
Previous bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality venue
Minimum of one to two year's hospitality experience required
Solid knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine




Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Professional presentation and positive attitude
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays
MUST hold a valid Victorian RSA Certificate (essential)
Desirable Skills
Cocktail creation and menu development experience
Experience with POS systems
Previous experience in a high-volume venue
Interest in Asian-inspired food and beverage pairing
