About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Foreman / Carpenter to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day site supervision across our commercial and industrial projects, with a robust carpentry and formwork background to lead and work alongside our self-perform crew.
This is a hands-on leadership role — and a genuine career development opportunity — suited to an experienced carpenter who is ready to step up into a site leadership position and grow with a builder-developer that has a strong project pipeline across South East Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Leadership
Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities across commercial and industrial construction projects
Lead and manage the self-perform crew including concreters, formworkers and steel fixers
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure work is delivered on programme
Report daily progress to the Director and flag any issues or risks early
Enforce site safety, WHS compliance and quality standards at all times
Manage material deliveries, plant and equipment scheduling on site
Carpentry & Formwork
Perform and oversee all carpentry and formwork activities to a high standard
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with structural drawings, specifications and Australian Standards
Assist in the reading and interpretation of architectural and structural drawings on site
Identify and communicate scope issues or design conflicts to the Director promptly
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with the Work Health and Safet Act **** (Qld)
Conduct and document site inductions, toolbox talks and safety inspections
Ensure all workers on site hold appropriate licences, qualifications and White Cards
Report all incidents, near misses and hazards immediately
Requirements
Essential
Certificate III in Carpentry (essential)
Minimum 4 years experience in commercial or industrial construction
Proven experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors on site
Strong knowledge of formwork, concrete and structural construction
Current White Card
Current Queensland driver's licence
Strong communication and leadership skills — ability to lead by example
Desirable
Forklift licence
Elevated work platform (EWP) licence
Experience with tilt panel or warehouse construction
Previous site foreman or leading hand experience
