They are seeking a skilled and experienced Chefs and Cooks to support kitchen operations across lunch and dinner service, lead the brigade during busy periods, and help maintain strong standards in preparation, flavour, presentation, and service flow.
This role is key to ensuring every dish leaving the pass reflects Sporting Legends' reputation for value, consistency, and memorable dining experiences.
Location: 233 York St, Sale, VIC **** Salary Range : $78,000- $83,000AUD Key Responsibilities Chefs Prepare, cook and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu standards.
Prepare, portion and season ingredients, including meat, seafood, vegetables, sauces and other food items.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, cooking times and presentation to ensure consistent standards.
Assist with menu preparation,



daily specials and adapting dishes based on available ingredients and customer requirements.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards throughout food preparation, cooking and storage.
Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
Cooks Prepare, cook and present food according to established recipes, menu requirements and portion standards.
Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, peeling, portioning, marinating and seasoning as required.
Operate kitchen equipment and use appropriate cooking methods to prepare food to the required standard.
Monitor food quality, cooking times and temperatures to ensure meals are properly prepared and consistently presented.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards in food preparation, cooking and storage areas.
Assist the Chef and kitchen team with food preparation, service and other day-to-day kitchen duties.
Skills Experience Required Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Ability to prepare a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
