Smart Apprenticeship Solutions and Squad Employment Training are seeking an innovative, commercially minded Apprentice Trainee Program Coordinator to lead the development of new apprenticeship and traineeship programs across Australia.
If you love spotting opportunities, building partnerships, and designing programs that create real impact for industry, employers and priority cohorts, this strategic role gives you the freedom to shape the future of our organisation.
You'll be the engine behind new program creation — identifying emerging trends, designing managed services models, developing priority cohort programs, and establishing specialist and pilot initiatives that diversify and grow the business.
This is a forward‐facing, relationship‐driven role where your ideas become real programs that support apprentices, trainees, hosts and industry partners.
The role involves: Design new programs across managed services, priority cohorts, specialist industries and pilot initiatives.
Build commercial cases for new opportunities, including pricing, staffing, delivery models and funding pathways.
Scan the market for host, funding and industry trends to inform strategic growth.
Lead early‐stage engagement with prospective hosts and partners, alongside Business Development.
Project manage pilot programs from concept through early delivery, transitioning successful pilots into BAU.
Own key accounts once programs are established — managing relationships, performance,
satisfaction and commercial outcomes.

What You'll Bring Strong commercial and strategic acumen — able to identify, evaluate and build cases for new opportunities.
Experience designing or establishing programs in a GTO, RTO, employment services or vocational training environment.
High‐level stakeholder engagement skills with senior industry, government and funding contacts.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with autonomy and confidence.
Innovative mindset with a passion for emerging workforce trends.
Strong account management capability and relationship‐building skills.
Excellent communication, networking and organisational skills.
Knowledge of apprenticeships, traineeships, funding frameworks and the Group Training model.
Relevant qualifications in Employment Services, Training, Community Services or a related sector are highly desirable — however, equivalent industry experience is also valued.
