Lead Senior Legal Counsel Company Secretary, Advisory Pacific Further your career within a Global Fortune 120 company Sydney CBD | Land of the Gadigal people The Opportunity Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel – International Advisory, this is a outstanding opportunity to lead the Commercial and Corporate legal function supporting CBRE's Advisory business across Australia and New Zealand.
As a trusted adviser to senior executives, you will provide strategic legal and governance support across a large and dynamic business that is part of the world's leading real estate services.
Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and hands-on legal advice on commercial, corporate, governance and regulatory matters impacting the Advisory business across the Pacific Lead, mentor and develop the Pacific Advisory legal team Act as Company Secretary for CBRE entities across Australia and Recent Zealand and oversee all corporate legal and company secretarial activities Support major commercial transactions, contracts and strategic business initiatives Partner with executive leaders to identify and manage legal risk while enabling commercial objectives Drive operational excellence through process improvement, technology adoption and best practice legal operations Manage external counsel Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Litigation, Employment Relations, Risk, Ethics Compliance and other CBRE Global Governance functions; and Serve as a member of the Pacific Executive Committee.
About You You are a commercially minded legal leader who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, leading teams, and influencing outcomes within a complex global business.
We're looking for: Law degree and admission to practice in Australia with 12+ years post admission experience A combination of top-tier private practice and in-house commercial legal experience A collaborative leadership style with proven experience leading and developing legal teams Strong commercial, corporate, governance,
and regulatory expertise Significant company secretarial experience Experience operating successfully within a large, complex, and highly matrixed organisation Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience advising executive and board-level stakeholders Experience within commercial real estate, property services or a related industry will be highly regarded What's In It For You?
