Transport for NSW is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development and delivery of road, bridge and traffic infrastructure projects that improve safety, enhance network performance and connect communities across NSW.
In this role, you'll:
Manage the delivery of road, bridge, traffic and maintenance projects to achieve agreed scope, cost, quality and time objectives.
Coordinate project planning activities, including investigations, design development, cost estimates and project briefs.
Prepare technical specifications and contract documentation to support the procurement and delivery of works.
Monitor project performance, budgets and schedules to ensure successful outcomes.
Support the implementation of workplace health, safety and environmental management practices across projects.
Engage with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to support project delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and effective infrastructure project outcomes.
Support the delivery of infrastructure solutions that improve safety, asset performance and network efficiency.
About you:
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of infrastructure, civil engineering, transport or construction projects.
Solid understanding of project management principles,
contract administration and procurement processes.
Experience preparing project briefs, cost estimates, technical documentation and delivery programs.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, quality and stakeholder outcomes.
Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Sound problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to delivering results.
Commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery.
A four-year Engineering degree (Civil or related discipline) from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification.
Current and valid Australian driver's licence.
Willingness to travel and work outside standard business hours when required.
Knowledge of engineering, project delivery and infrastructure management practices.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and engineering excellence.
