About the opportunity Lead one of Australia's most significant logistics operations at our technology-leading Distribution Centre in Truganina, Melbourne West.
This is not your average Operations Manager role.
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded people leader to become a critical part of the leadership team responsible for one of the largest and most sophisticated wholesale distribution centres in the Southern Hemisphere.
Based at our Truganina Distribution Centre, you'll help lead a 45,000sqm operation housing more than 30,000 pallet spaces, supporting a 24/7 distribution network and overseeing a workforce of approximately 300 team members, including permanent and casual employees.
Reporting directly to the State Logistics Manager, you'll be the vital link between senior leadership and frontline operations, influencing performance, culture, safety, people development and operational excellence every day.

What does the role i nvolve?
As Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of a major part of our distribution centre operation, leading people,



performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll be responsible for: Leading large operational teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Driving safety, engagement and operational performance Partnering with leaders across multiple shifts to achieve service and productivity targets Converting labour, volume and operational data into meaningful business decisions Managing labour costs, budgets and forecasts while delivering strong operational outcomes Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency Coaching, developing and inspiring leaders at all levels Building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork and customer outcomes Acting as a trusted conduit between senior leadership and frontline teams Who are we looking for?
More important than industry systems experience is your mindset and attitude.

productivity and volume translate into business performance A hands-on leadership style and visible presence on the floor Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with teams at every level Experience leading large operational, logistics, supply chain, warehouse or distribution environments A down-to-earth approach coupled with a focus on results Experience with SAP would be advantageous, however it is not essential.
