Kitchen Polyurethane Painter
to join our team on a
full-time basis
at our Prestons, NSW facility. This is a crucial role within our manufacturing and finishing operations, where you will be responsible for applying high-quality polyurethane coatings to kitchen cabinetry and components. Your work will directly impact the aesthetic appeal and durability of our products, making this position integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the kitchen manufacturing industry. You will work on-site at our Prestons location, contributing to a dynamic and quality-focused production environment.
Key responsibilities
Applying polyurethane coatings to kitchen cabinets, doors, panels and associated components using spray equipment and other application methods
Ensuring consistent coverage and finish quality across all surfaces, meeting Timpelle Kitchens' exacting standards
Preparing surfaces through sanding, cleaning and priming to achieve optimal adhesion and finish quality
Operating and maintaining spray equipment, including guns, compressors and related tools in safe and efficient working order
Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Inspecting finished products for defects, runs, sags or other imperfections and remedying issues as required
Adhering to environmental and health and safety regulations relevant to polyurethane application and finishing
Communicating with supervisors and team members regarding production schedules and quality concerns
Contributing to a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a polyurethane painter or furniture/cabinet finisher, with a demonstrated track record of producing high-quality finishes
Sound knowledge of polyurethane coating systems, application techniques and drying processes




Proficiency in operating spray equipment and other finishing application tools
Understanding of surface preparation techniques and the importance of thorough preparation for optimal results
Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain consistency and quality across large production volumes
Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those relevant to working with chemical coatings and spray equipment
Physical capability to stand for extended periods, work at heights and handle repetitive tasks
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from supervisors
Reliability and punctuality with a commitment to meeting production deadlines
A valid driver's licence would be advantageous
