The Team

The Elective Surgery Access Co-ordinator (ESAC) is an integral part of Peri-Operative Services at the Launceston General Hospital. The ESAC works independently, but will support from the NUM, to arrange surgical bookings and timely care following 'treat in turn' guidelines of the "Planned Surgery Access Policy & Operational Standards *****)".
The Role

The ESAC works closely with clerical and medical staff to plan, book and case manage patients from the LGH Elective Surgery Waiting List.
You will need

Possess strong surgical knowledge.
Ability to work well in a team, and with multiple surgeons, registrars and allied health staff from various specialities.
Adaptable and works well under pressure to meet deadlines. Upholds the THS CARE values.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 October ****.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.




Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
